Friction material characteristics are critical to produce reliable differential performance. Our extensive range of friction materials offer smooth engagement, high resistance to fade, stable coefficient of friction (hot or cold), positive µ-v slope and excellent durability.
Wellman offers various friction technologies for differentials including Kevlar-based, Cellulose-based, bronze-based and carbon-based formulations. We work closely with customer to identify the optimal material technology required to meet the specifications for each application.
